Krakow, Poland (SportsNetwork.com) – Former two-division world champion Tomasz
Adamek lost to Artur Szpilka in a 10-round unanimous decision Saturday night.
Szpilka claimed the vacant IBF international heavyweight title after winning
by scores of 96-94 from two judges and 98-92 from a third judge.
The 37-year-old Adamek (49-4, 29 KOs) suffered his second straight defeat,
also falling to Vyacheslav Glazkov in a 12-round unanimous decision in March.
The 25-year-old Szpilka (17-1, 12 KOs), also a native of Poland, bounced back
from a 10th round TKO loss to Bryant Jennings in January in New York.
