San Sebastian, Spain (SportsNetwork.com) – Real Sociedad has dismissed manager
Jagoba Arrasate as a result of the club’s poor start to the La Liga campaign.
Sociedad resides in 19th place in the league after a 1-0 defeat to Malaga over
the weekend, the club’s sixth loss in 10 matches.
Arrasate’s lone win in charge of Sociedad this season was a 4-2 victory over
Real Madrid in August, while the club announced that Asier Santana and Imanol
Alguacil will lead the club until a replacement is found.
Under Arrasate last season Sociedad finished seventh in La Liga, but lost key
players Antoine Griezmann and Claudio Bravo in the offseason.
