Lake Forest, IL (SportsNetwork.com) – The Chicago Bears placed left guard Matt
Slauson on injured reserve Saturday due to a torn pectoral muscle.
Slauson sustained the injury during Chicago’s 51-23 loss at New England on
Oct. 26. The six-year veteran missed three games earlier in the campaign after
spraining his ankle in the season opener.
The 28-year-old had started all 16 games in each of the previous four seasons,
the first three of which were spent with the New York Jets.
Either Brian de la Puente or Michael Ola will replace Slauson in the starting
lineup for Sunday’s game at Green Bay.
Tight end Blake Annen was promoted from the practice squad to fill the
available roster spot.
