Calf injury to keep Kolarov out one month

Manchester, England (SportsNetwork.com) – Manchester City defender Aleksandar
Kolarov is set to spend the next month on the sidelines after suffering a calf
injury in the warm up prior to City’s 1-0 win over Manchester United.

Kolarov was slated to start the match against United, but after injuring
himself in the warm up, he was replaced by Gael Clichy.

“Kolarov has a muscle injury in his calf,” City manager Manuel Pellegrini said
ahead of City’s Champions League match with CSKA Moscow on Wednesday. “He will
be out for at least one month.”

The injury will prevent Kolarov from taking part in City’s Champions League
matches with CSKA Moscow and Bayern Munich, while he is also likely to miss
out on league fixtures against QPR, Swansea City and Southampton.

Kolarov has featured in seven of City’s 10 Premier League games this season.
