Flyers G Mason out 2-3 weeks

Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) – Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Steve Mason
will be sidelined 2-to-3 weeks with a lower-body injury, general manager Ron
Hextall announced Tuesday.

Mason is slated to undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee to
determine what has been causing him discomfort, CSNPhilly.com reported on
Monday.

The knee buckled when Mason attempted to stretch at the bench during a timeout
in the second period of Sunday’s game at Washington.

Mason missed six games in January because of an injury to the same knee.

He is 11-12-7 with a 2.27 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage in
34 games this season.
