(SportsNetwork.com) – Former major league left-hander Brad Halsey has died at
the age of 33.
Halsey’s representatives, O’Connell Sports, sent out a tweet on Tuesday,
announcing his passing. The cause of death, though, was not disclosed.
“We are sorry to hear of the passing of longtime client, Brad Halsey. Our
thoughts & prayers are with his family during this difficult time.”
Halsey, who served up Barry Bonds’ 714th home run, was an eighth round draft
choice of the New York Yankees in 2002 and made his big league debut for them
in 2004. He also played with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Oakland Athletics,
posting a 14-19 mark over three seasons with a 4.84 ERA.
