Grizz try to bounce back with Lakers in town

(SportsNetwork.com) – Coming off their first loss of the season, the Memphis
Grizzlies will try to bounce back when they entertain Kobe Bryant and the Los
Angeles Lakers Tuesday at FedEx Forum.

Memphis opened the season with a 6-0 mark and suffered a 93-92 loss to the
Milwaukee Bucks Saturday at the Bradley Center. Brandon Knight converted a
three-point play in the final seconds and scored 14 points for Milwaukee.

Zach Randolph posted 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Marc Gasol added 18
points and Courtney Lee added 11 in defeat. Memphis shot 35.4 percent.

“They’re going to be great,” Grizzlies coach Dave Joerger said of the Bucks.
“I love their attitude.”

The Grizzlies will also host Sacramento, Detroit and Houston on this four-game
homestand.

Meanwhile, the Lakers ended the worst start (0-5) in Los Angeles history with
Sunday’s 107-92 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.

Bryant and Jeremy Lin each scored 21 points, while Carlos Boozer finished with
16 points for the Lakers.

“We played really hard tonight,” said Lin. “In the third quarter we got
stops.”

Los Angeles lost three of four meetings with Memphis last season. These two
teams have split the last six games at FedEx Forum.

Memphis has won a franchise-best 16 straight regular season games at home.
