Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Chris Bosh scored 30 points with eight
rebounds to lead the Miami Heat to a 114-96 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on
Saturday.
Luol Deng and Shawne Williams added 15 points each, while Dwyane Wade scored
nine points with 10 assists for Miami, which has won nine of its last 10 in
Philadelphia.
Tony Wroten had 21 points and 10 assists for the Sixers, who are off to an 0-3
start after opening 3-0 last year, which included a 114-110 season-opening
stunner of the defending champion Heat in Philadelphia.
Brandon Davies netted a career-high 18 points and Hollis Thompson added 10 in
the setback.
Davies split a pair of free throws to give the Sixers an 83-82 lead with just
under three minutes left in the third quarter.
Miami scored the final five points of the quarter, then grabbed a double-digit
lead by scoring 12 of the first 16 points in the final stanza. Mario Chalmers
scored the last eight to make it 99-87 with 6 1/2 minutes remaining.
Philadelphia was limited to 4-of-15 shooting from the field and 0-for-5 from
beyond the arc in the final quarter.
It was quite the opposite for the hosts in the first quarter, as they made
their first seven field goal attempts and shot 13-of-21 in the first quarter,
although Miami led 32-30 at the buzzer.
Bosh’s 3-pointer gave the Heat a 60-54 lead going into the locker room at
halftime.
