Manhattan, KS (SportsNetwork.com) – Jake Waters threw for a pair of touchdowns
and Charles Jones ran for two scores, as 11th-ranked Kansas State pounded
Oklahoma State, 48-14, Saturday night.
Waters completed 19-of-28 passes for 223 yards, and Curry Sexton rushed nine
times for 159 yards with a TD for the Wildcats (7-1, 5-0 Big 12), who have won
five straight since a loss to Auburn on Sept. 18.
Kansas State plays at current No. 10 TCU next Saturday.
Tyreek Hill carried the ball 18 times for 102 yards with a touchdown for the
Cowboys (5-4, 3-3), who have lost three in a row. Daxx Garman went 12-of-23
for 148 yards with a pair of interceptions.
Hill’s 2-yard TD run up the middle capped an 84-yard march to start the game,
but Morgan Burns returned the ensuing kickoff 86 yards to the end zone to
start a string of 45 straight K-State points.
