New York, NY (Sports Network) – Los Angeles Kings forward Tanner Pearson has
been chosen as the NHL’s top rookie for the month of October.
Pearson, the 30th overall pick in the 2012 draft, led all rookies with seven
goals and nine points over the 11 games in the season’s first month.
The 22-year-old native of Ontario beat out Washington Capitals forward Andre
Burakovsky, Nashville Predators center Filip Forsberg and New Jersey Devils
defenseman Damon Severson.
