Orlando’s Molino to miss rest of season with ACL injury

Orlando, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Orlando City SC forward Kevin Molino will
miss the remainder of the 2015 season after tearing his ACL in a friendly with
Brazilian side Ponte Preta on Saturday.

The 24-year-old went down just 16 minutes into the contest holding his right
knee, and after undergoing tests, the extend of the injury was confirmed,
costing the club a valuable attacking option.

“We are obviously devastated for Kevin,” said Orlando head coach Adrian Heath.
“He was having a great start to the season, his first in MLS. He’ll work with
the team physicians from Orlando Health to make sure he undergoes a full
recovery and comes back in top form.”

Molino started seven games for Orlando this season, notching one assist, and
he has been a major part of the team’s attack in terms of setting up chances.

The club returns to action on Friday with a home match against the New England
Revolution.
