Muscat, Oman (SportsNetwork.com) – Max Orrin fired a final-round, 1-under 71
on Sunday and he earned a 2-shot victory at the National Bank of Oman Golf
Classic.
Orrin finished the week at 7-under-par 281 and the win is the first of his
career on the European Challenge Tour.
It was a rather consistent week at Almouj Golf at the Wave for Orrin as he
shot a 71 in three rounds to go along with a 68 in the third round.
Orrin began the day with a par before rolling in a birdie on No. 2. Following
two pars, Orrin drained two birdies in a three-hole stretch from No. 5. He
gave both of those shots back when he tripped to a double-bogey on eight.
It was smooth sailing from there for Orrin as he coasted to the finish with 10
straight pars to earn his first career victory.
Jason Palmer finished alone in second place at 5-under 283 after his final-
round, 4-under 68. Jason Barnes also shot a 68 and he ended tied for third at
3-under 285. He was joined there by Mark Tullo (73).
