Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin
said Tuesday safety Troy Polamalu and linebacker Ryan Shazier will miss
Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.
Both players exited last Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens with
injuries. Polamalu has a knee sprain and Shazier is dealing with an ankle
injury.
Polamalu has 51 tackles and one forced fumble in nine games this season, while
Shazier has 26 tackles in five contests.
The 6-3 Steelers will turn to backups Sean Spence and Will Allen for Shazier
and Polamalu, respectively.
