St. Petersburg, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – The Tampa Bay Rays acquired
pitcher Xavier Cedeno from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for cash
considerations on Monday.
Cedeno was acquired by the Dodgers from the Washington Nationals last week.
The left-handed reliever didn’t appear in a game for the Dodgers after
appearing in five games and posting a 6.00 ERA with the Nationals.
For his career, Cedeno is 0-1 with a 5.24 ERA in 77 career games.
To make room for Cedeno on the 40-man roster, the Rays moved John Jaso to the
60-day disabled list due to a wrist injury.
