Jackson, MI (SportsNetwork.com) – David Toms and John Rollins both carded 6-
under 66s on Friday and they moved into a share of the lead with the second
round of the Sanderson Farms Championship suspended due to darkness.
Toms and Rollins are tied at 10-under-par 134. Toms owns 13 PGA Tour wins,
including the 2001 PGA Championship, and Rollins is a three-time tour winner.
Nick Taylor shot 3-under 69 at the Country Club of Jackson and he stands alone
in third place at minus-8. Tom Gillis (68) and McGladrey Classic winner Robert
Streb (70) share fourth place at 7-under-par 137.
Vaughn Taylor fired a 6-under 66 and he jumped into a share of sixth place at
6-under-par 138. He was joined there by Boo Weekley (68), Lucas Glover (67),
William McGirt (70) and Shawn Stefani (68). Oscar Fraustro and Fabian Gomez
are also minus-6, but have one and three holes to complete respectively.
First-round leader Sebastian Cappelen was 3-over par through 16 holes and had
tumbled into a tie for 21st at 4-under par.
The first round was completed earlier Friday after being suspended due to
darkness on Thursday. Play was again suspended by darkness on Friday. The
second round will resume Saturday at 8:40 a.m. ET, while the third round will
start at approximately 9:50 a.m.
